Blended Learning Boosts Graduation Rates

Nearly six years ago, Spokane Public Schools set out to increase the number of students graduating ready for success in college and career. The district implemented several blended learning programs, including online courses that allow students who are behind to catch up quickly. Since then, graduation rates have increased by 23 percentage points. “Blended Learning is a natural next step to help all students to be able to learn at their own pace and to get the assistance that they need, just in time,” said Kristin Whiteaker, director of Spokane Virtual Learning.
